Yellowcard & New Found Glory

By Spike Brendle

Early 2000s pop-punk superstars Yellowcard and New Found Glory will co-headline a “reunion” show at Livewire in Scottsdale on Thursday, October 8th. After rising to stardom via the peak years of Warped Tour and making it to MTV when it was still a music-related channel, Yellowcard slipped into a brief hiatus as New Found Glory went through a rebirthing process, ultimately attempting to bring them back to their roots.

Both groups released new albums last year, and are touring as a shared bill and Florida pop-punk revival. Livewire is a new venue, and what better way to experience it for my first time with bands I loved ten years ago in my influential high school years? Back in those days, the venue to be at was The Nile Theater, and I have seen both these bands there several times. Philadelphia pop-punk act Tigers Jaw will be opening the show. Tickets are still on sale, starting at $25. Click here for more information.
